EVP, CREATIVE & BIZ DEVELOPMENT, Michael Frick is a 20 year veteran of the film, music and advertising industries, Frick has worked on projects for Apple, Google, Twitter, Cadillac, Intel, California Tourism, Marriott, AEG/Coachella, SONY and Universal Music Publishing. Frick aided in developing the music careers of Joey Ryan (Milk Carton Kids), Mark Foster (Foster the People), The Peach Kings and Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith), among others. At We Are Hear, Michael focuses on creative and artist development, rights management, as well as brand partnerships, strategy and experiential design. Frick has worked on a wide range of Oscar nominated features, award winning commercials and music videos. He occasionally moonlights as a music journalist and DJ.
PROJECT DIRECTOR Shane Wepprich is an authority in marketing, publicity, and branding. Wepprich brings over 6 years of expertise to the digital world. He began his career at an independent boutique agency working on various projects' social media and marketing campaigns for major and indie artists. Wepprich soon moved on to lead Virgin Record’s developing acts and grew into a role of publicity for all of Capitol Music Group’s roster. With PR, digital marketing, social media, and branding experience in tow, Wepprich transitioned into management and production with Shiny Penny. Here, Wepprich is the Marketing Director and lead of the music division which consists of day to day management, artist development, publishing, and digital branding for all projects including Starry Nites Festival in Santa Barbara.
BUSINESS AFFAIRS DIRECTOR, Ajay Gosain sits at the intersection of music, media, brands, and technology with a concentration in the areas of music law, licensing and entertainment contract negotiation - including Film & TV, Concerts & Events - and the administration of music and related intellectual property rights. Ajay’s experience as an artist, artist manager, label executive and lawyer help him cater his services to his friends and clients as they navigate their way through the entertainment industry. Focusing on artist’s unique long term career goals, Ajay helps devise and implement strategies and time lines to help artist’s focus on their art while at the same time reaching their business goals. He is also a professor in music rights and artist management at Columbia College.
EA & PROJECT COORDINATOR, Bianca Prossi got her start in the entertainment industry working for the VP of Sales at Universal Music Group helping track sales and distribution figures for major artist's albums such as Taylor Swift's "1989", The Hunger Games Soundtrack, Lady Gaga & Jeff Bennet's "Cheek to Cheek", and many others. She then worked for an entertainment/business transactional lawyer in Beverly Hills where she edited and revised contracts pertaining to major talent figures such as Jim Carrey, Mark Wahlberg, and more. She has now transitioned into production where she works as Kerry Brown's righthand, helping with everything from schedules to finances to production.
